As I sauntered down a snaking path surrounded by small rocks to see a national monument, I walked around a corner and saw a majestic waterfall with beautiful trees surrounding it that were dappled with orange and red colored leaves. The first thing I did when I saw this waterfall was take my camera out of my lightweight jacket and take a picture. It was truly a once in a lifetime view and I felt the need to capture it forever. As I watched the water fall from the cliff it looked like water coming out of a overflowed glass of water and I wondered what it would be like to be see this from on top of the mountain. This view would probably be very breathtaking to see from the top of the mountain. I thought in my head that hopefully someday I would be able to get some hiking gear to get to the top of the mountain to see this breathtaking view from above.

Just as I was about to walk closer to the waterfall, I felt goosebumps form on both my arms because I had just heard a mountain lion’s mating call. It sounded like a strong wind on a stormy day and I knew it was coming from somewhere close. The air smelled and tasted like a fire had happened right in front of me and I knew I had to get out of there fast. However before I left I knew I had to get another picture of this beauty in front of me. So I took out my camera and took my picture. Upon shooting my picture, I headed out of that area as fast as I could run.  As I was running, I could see the the mountain lion behind me sitting on the mountain behind the waterfall. I decided with some distance between the mountain lion and me I needed to take another photo. I stopped for a moment to snap that amazing photo. Once I got my shot, I got out of that area as fast as I could possibly run. I felt as if I was going over 50 miles an hour I was like a cheetah running in the wind and I remember feeling so scared.
