CABIN

Cabin
Talking, giggling, sleeping
Cabin

NIGHT SKY

Night sky
Glistening, gleaming, sparkling, shining, inky, gigantic, mysterious
Night sky

NIGHT HIKE

Night hike
Spooky, scary
Worrying, trembling, shuddering
Thought I’d be brave, but I was wrong!
Night hike

TIDE POOLS

Tide pools
Wet, slippery
Living, swimming, settling
A mini world among the rocks
Sea jungle

DAY HIKE

Day hike
Long, exhausted
Exploring, adventuring, foraging
Trail, leaves, cargo net, tree house
Relaxing, playing, enjoying
Quick, energetic
Rec. time

CAMPFIRE

The red and orange sparks
Crackling of the flames
The warm breeze of the fire as I settle in
Hickory and smoke in the night air
But I can’t touch the flames

REDWOOD GOOSE PEN

Like a teepee for a family of three
Like a giant sugar cone dropped upside down and
the ice cream melted away
Like a charcoal filled umbrella to keep you out of the rain
Like a jungle gym waiting to be climbed
Like the night sky in the heart of a tree

REDWOOD GIANTS

Coast redwoods standing as tall as can be
Their needles waving in the wind saying hello,
I am tiny next to these swaying giants
The woody smell of their reddish-brown trunks
Soft and splintery bark on my fingers
