Crabs

Redwoods

Coast/Ocean

Sea stars

Squishy, hard, bright

Sea stars

Sculpins

Red, camouflaged

Stinging, swimming, hiding

Darting through the water

Fish

Songs

Loud, silly, high

Songs

Crabs

The crabs scuttling over the rocks

The click, click, click of the crab’s claws

  The rocks under my feet

The salty scent of the air

My camera as I strain to get a good picture

Creek

Cold, riffled

Rushing, jumping, trickling

Mist that flies upward

Waterway

Redwoods

Huge, red

Growing, reproducing, reiterating

Wood, tree, coast, claws

Crawling, scuttling, hiding

Walking, sideways

Crabs

Redwoods

Like a giant standing tall

Like solar panels collecting the sun

Like millions of needles

Like water pumps pumping water

Like arms praising to a god

Like an umbrella protecting me from rain

Like a hose stretching outward to get water

Ocean

Blue, humongus, habitat

Ocean

Oceans

Huge, habitat

Rushing, moving, existing

A great vat of water

Seas

The Ocean

Waves crashing against the shore

The sand between my toes

The gentle splashing of waves against the sand

The salt scented air around the ocean

Yellow, soft sand
