On Wednesday, February 28, the
fourth graders visited the California Museum. The students had been
studying Japanese Internment during World Was II, and they got to talk
with former internees. The students were also lead through the exhibit
called Time of Remembrance and were able to get a good understanding of
what life was like for the Japanese Americans who were interned. The
class also got to vitis the six story tall Constitution Wall and they
were given a brief talk about how the constitution was largely ignored
during the time of internment. We ended our day at the state capitol
for lunch. Take a look at the few pictures we have of our trip to the
California Museum and the capitol.Overall, it was a great learning experience.
