From March 7-10, the fourth graders
took part in their environmental education field trip. The class
visited Armstrong Redwoods State Park and Salt Point State Park. We
explored the redwood forest and spent a day tide pooling. At camp, we
had fun evening activities which included a campfire, a night
exploration of the camp, and a game about watersheds. The students got
to have a recreation hour each evening, and they were able to play on
the playground, go for lots of extra hikes,
and play in the gaga pit.
The week was full of energy, and in
addition to the learning that the kids experienced, there was great
camaraderie and tons of fun!
