From April 9-12, the fourth graders took part in their environmental education field trip. The class visited Armstrong Redwoods State Park, Shell Beach and Goat Rock. We explored the redwood forest, spent some time tide pooling, and got blasted by a sandstorm at Goat Rock! At camp, we had fun evening activities which included a campfire, a night exploration of the camp, and a game about watersheds. The students got to have a recreation hour each evening, and they were able to play on the playground, play in the gaga pit and have some fun on the cargo net. The days started with some extra hiking before we even had breakfast. The week was full of energy, and in addition to the learning that the kids experienced, there was great camaraderie and tons of fun!
